Christmas Day at the Shelter 2018
Thank You!!!
What a great turnout we had at the Shelter, and we sincerely want to thank everyone that stopped by and took a few minutes out of their Christmas Day to spend time with our homeless pets. They loved the attention and treats and no one was alone on Christmas!! We most likely had close to 150 people.
And thank you all so much for all of the donations we have received throughout the holiday season that are now under our tree and along the walls. The amount our pets recei...ved from all of you is unbelievable and your thoughtfulness is beyond words and warms our hearts.
Our Cherish Me Now Shelter tree is full of ornaments honoring and remembering your cherished pets and many more ornaments were added today.
We had visitors who traveled from Buffalo to Rochester and everywhere in between just to bring donations and hug our pets.
To quote Santa Claus (Charlie Howard).... "He who thinks Santa Claus enters through the chimney errs. Santa enters through the heart" You all have hearts of gold and words cannot express our appreciation to each and every one of you. We have an awesome community of supporters that is nothing short of heartwarming and caring people. The words thank you do not seem like enough to say but know that you have brought happy tears to our eyes in caring for our homeless pets.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy.

Girl Scout Troop 82036 Donation
Drive Delivery 12/17/16
What a great day at the shelter! Girl Scout Troop 82036 held a Donation Drive and they made the delivery today of everything that they collected. We were speechless at seeing everything that was brought in including over 300 pounds of kitty litter; cat beds; dog toys; cat treats; dog treats and so much more! They also collected over $200 in cash donations and close to $300 in gift cards to be used to purchase flea control and other necessities such as special foods for our homeless pets.
The Girl Scout Troop leader Crystal Hand should be so very proud of her girls. We would like to quote a card that was given to us written by their troop leader. Crystal said..."when our troop stood in front of Walmart we had no idea how it would go. The weather was windy and rainy but these girls stayed positive and hopeful handing out the dog/cat wish list. We received a few items of cat litter and treats. We did not foresee the complete kindness and generosity of the people of this town. This check is all the money that the people of this community donated in just two hours. This day would not be possible without the help of this wonderful community".
The girls spent the day with us learning what we do at the shelter and they were able to witness our kitten Comet getting adopted! The girls put together a little kitten starter kit for Comet which included treats, toys and a new bed! Words cannot express how we felt seeing these young girls open their hearts to the homeless pets at the shelter.
Thank you does not seem like enough to say to these girls but we hope they know that they had us in tears with their love and generosity for our homeless pets. We once again thank Girl Scout Troop 82036.

Thank you all again so very much and we will continue to keep you updated on Tiny Tim's progress.
The Orleans County Animal Control Officer picked up a stray 2 year old male beagle. When he was picked up, it was found that he had a gunshot wound to his left rear leg. He was seen by the emergency vet and on Tuesday, he had to have his left rear leg amputated. We have named him Tiny Tim.
On behalf of Tiny Tim, thank you and bless you everyone!!

He is currently hanging out in our cat room with the Animal Control Officer and is a very happy little guy!! He thanks everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts and they are working!! He still has a long road ahead of him and Tiny Tim thanks everyone that has donated and is waiting to give you all hugs and slobbery kisses!!
Here is Tiny Tim the evening after his surgery!! He is doing well and he wants to thank everyone who donated so he can have a chance at a forever home!! He is truly greatful to each and every one of you for the donations, prayers and good thoughts. Keep up the good thoughts and with each day, he will get stronger!! Doesn't he have the sweetest face?

Exploring his foster home yard.
Making a new friend!!
Getting ready to explore and put that beagle nose to the ground!!
December 14, 2014 From Tiny Tim's foster Mommy..... We had a good night. Swapped out the satellite dish for an inflatable collar. Slept next to crate because I wasn't 100% positive he couldn't get to his stitches but it is a win. He can run through the house, go outside with Flash, get a drink and sleep more comfortably. He decided it was nap time again. Thanks for all the well wishes.
December 16, 2014 Tiny Tim getting ready to watch a Charlie Brown Christmas!! His foster Mommy just told him Snoopy is a beagle!!
December 20, 2014 The stitches are out and Tiny Tim's foster Mommy says Tim is getting spunky! A few tangles with his foster brother and sister did not stop him. Tail is up and wagging. She even got a little bark when she got home.
December 23, 2014 From Tiny Tim's Foster Mommy
Tiny Tim is turning out to be a troublemaker! Takes Nellie toys until she chases him, which she loves. He also had taken to sleeping by Flash. So sweet. He also tore up the tissue paper I had in the presents. I blamed Nellie at first but caught him red handed or red mouthed because the tissue was stuck on his whiskers.
Now isn't that the sweet face of an innocent party?
